Knitted Artworks – created by Danish Artist Stine Leth in conjunction with utterly drool-able interiors and design company Ferm Living.
(You won’t regret clicking through to that link by the way…if you’re in any way inspired by minimalist/Scandinavian design!)
Here’s an example of one of the pieces in-situ on their collection website:
Their description states…
“Artist Stine Leth working with knits, which she creates colorful works, sculptures and figurines while her creative development moves at different levels within the design and art.
For ferm LIVING she has knitted 30 vægværker where wooden frames are covered with knitted abstract patterns in a wide palette of colors and qualities.
“We are very pleased with the works that Stine Leth has created for us. Like us, she is preoccupied with the craftsmanship and the uniqueness, which certainly has been a breeding ground for a good creative collaboration, “explains Trine Andersen, designer and owner of ferm LIVING.
The 30 works are all playful, which is crucial for Stine Leth, who thrives in a humorous and coloristic universe that reflects a spontaneity and joy in the work.
“I think it’s fun to get art into the design world as well in the same way as the design is surrounding us in our home. Therefore it was obvious to create a number of works for ferm LIVING “says Stine Leth.
The 30 works come in various sizes from 20 x 20 cm to 50 x 50 cm.”
